To Replace Scratcher: Remove the top layer and the old scratcher. Insert the new one and close the top layer.
Battery Installation: Remove screw on bottom of scratcher with screwdriver. Remove battery cover and insert 3 AA batteries (not included) with correct polarity. Close battery cover and secure with screw.
Caution: Don't mix old and new batteries. Don't mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
